Wil Leary

I started my swimming career in my freshmen year of
high school, not knowing anything about the sport whatsoever. I wouldn't
be swimming if it weren’t for my mom pushing me in the pool at an early
age. I swam under Coach Blaze my freshmen to junior year, and under
Coach Tobias my senior year. My best events were the 50 and 100 free. I
swam at state in my junior and senior year. Both years Munster was a top
5 TEAM. My senior year, I was part of the state Runner-Up 200 Free
Relay along with Bryan Chovanec, Mitch Farnsley, and Andrew Kaminski.
This is my 4th season with the Munster
Seahorses and in my short time as a coach; I have seen some of the most
determined swimmers ever. I believe that MSC showed this to the entire
state of Indiana over the past few seasons. I hope to help keep that
spirit of Pride, Determination and Desire alive and well here in
Munster.
My main group is the whitehorses. Our focus with this
group is to further develop the fundamentals of the four strokes. There
is a lot of drill work done to reinforce the most effective ways to
better and faster swimming. The Whitehorse group also will begin to
build their endurance for longer events and work their ways up the
ladder of the Munster Swim Club.
Stop reading this and get out there and Swim!
